On the second day of Money 20/20, the Fenergo team had our hands full with demos of our new KYC and Transaction Compliance solution for fintechs. 

The stand was a hive of activity. Our team held lots of meetings with coffees and cocktails on offer throughout the day while our content team were busy interviewing visitors for our Fenergo FinTalks podcast. 

Fenergo Launches KYC and Transaction Compliance for Fintechs at Money 20/20 

We’re known for our leading digital know your customer (KYC) and client lifecycle management (CLM) solutions but, at Money 20/20, Fenergo officially announced the launch of KYC & Transaction Compliance. 

KYC & Transaction Compliance is a new offering for fintechs that combines Fenergo’s KYC and Transaction Monitoring solutions and enables continuous monitoring of the customer profile.   

Fenergo now provides fintechs with a single, integrated software-as-a-service (SaaS) solution that continuously monitors customer profiles and detects a wide array of suspicious transaction activities in real-time.

Coinmotion Selects Fenergo Transaction Monitoring for AML Compliance 

Fenergo also announced at Money 20/20 that Coinmotion, the Finland-based cryptocurrency service provider, has selected Fenergo’s Transaction Monitoring to streamline processes for anti-money laundering (AML) compliance.  

Coinmotion (Fenergo’s first customer in Finland) is an innovator in the Nordic region, allowing Finnish and foreign users to trade crypto to crypto, crypto to fiat, and fiat to crypto. With this, Fenergo will help Coinmotion to navigate the Nordic regulatory landscape and gain a full transactional picture of cash to crypto, and crypto to cash trades.

While at Money 20/20, we also sat down with Coinmotion’s Interim CEO, Pasi Matilainen, for an extra-special edition of the Fenergo FinTalks podast. Pasi and our host, Dhanum Nursigadoo, chatted all things crypto, from regulation and Coinmotion’s future plans, to the true value of Bitcoin, and why Pasi considers himself to be a “crypto anarchist.”

Partners in Anti-Financial Crime: Checking in on Our Relationship with Refinitiv  

We also pulled Refinitiv in for a chat at Money 20/20, with another episode of the Fenergo FinTalks podcast. Dhanum got in the studio with Paul Iezzi, Refinitiv’s Channel Partner Manager for EMEA, and Sonum Puri, Fenergo’s Director of Product Partnerships, to discover the real value of partnerships and why they’re important in the fight against financial crime. 

We asked Paul and Sonum what the secret is to a long-lasting, successful partnership? The resounding consensus was that it’s no secret: it’s really many of the same things that make other kinds of relationships successful. The key to longevity and maintaining a blissfully wedded product partnership lies in playing to each other’s strengths, excellent communication, respecting each other’s boundaries, and having regular check-ins to ensure the partnership’s still in both parties’ best interests.
