Fenergo Awarded Prestigious Gold Medal from EcoVadis for Sustainability Performance

21st August 2024, Dublin: Fenergo, the leading provider of AI-powered solutions for know your customer (KYC), transaction monitoring and client lifecycle management (CLM), announces today that it has achieved a Gold Medal from EcoVadis, the world’s most trusted provider of business sustainability ratings. Fenergo was awarded the rating following a vigorous assessment of its environmental, labour and human rights, ethical and sustainable procurement practices.

Fenergo was awarded Gold status after achieving a score that positions it in the top 5%  of all companies evaluated for sustainability performance by EcoVadis over the past 12 months and in the top 1% of software firms as of June 2024. The Gold status, which has increased from Silver in 2023, can be attributed to recognition from the United Nations Global Compact (UNGC) for endorsing its key principles and additional measures by Fenergo to improve its sustainability practices and minimize environmental impact including the continuous improvement of policies, measures and reporting practices. Another key factor contributing to Fenergo’s Gold status is the recent publication of its first sustainability report outlining its commitment to environmental stewardship, social responsibility and ethical governance.

Niall Twomey, Chief Technology Officer and Fenergo sustainability sponsor, said “We are hugely proud of this recognition by EcoVadis which highlights our commitment to driving sustainable growth and positive impact throughout our operations and our cloud-based solutions. Our dedication to Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) principles is central to our business strategy and forms the bedrock from which we deliver value to our clients, investors, employees, and communities.”

“This year’s Gold Award win is the culmination of a raft of strategic initiatives we have implemented throughout the year to improve our performance and meet our sustainability targets. With sustainability at the heart, from product design to the services we offer, we are empowering businesses to operate responsibly and efficiently in their battle against financial crime,” continued Twomey.

EcoVadis' business sustainability ratings are based on international sustainability standards including the Ten Principles of the UNGC, the International Labour Organization (ILO) conventions, the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) standards and the ISO 26000 standard.  The ratings provide an evidenced-based analysis on performance and an actionable roadmap for continuous improvement.
